I am an entering Senior..
3.38 GPA Cumuilative at the end of Junior Year…(Freshman year messed me up, but my soph and junior year i’ve been getting an average of 3.7)
SAT: 1370 (2nd Time round)
Since i want to excel in medicine, i volunteered 100 hours at the hospital my soph year, tutored student and help teach japanese kids on the weekend.
Varsity Tennis 4 years, Varsity Football 1 year, JV soccer 1 year.
I moved here from Australia when i was 12.
Am taking AP and Honors next year consisting of math, AP BIO, and english.
SO CAN I GET INTO DAVIS? AND SDSU AND SONOMA ARE MY BACKUPS..CAN I GET INTO THERE TOO WITH THERE STATS? PLEASE HELP! AND GIVE SUGGESTIONS OF OTHER GOOD SCHOOLS OF PRE MED THAT I CAN GET INTO!
You need to raise your SAT I scores; take a Kaplan class if you have to, but get it done. Alternatively you can try taking the ACT, some students perform much better on that compared to the SAT.
Aside from the SAT scores, your profile looks fine. You may want to take some community college courses this summer to help boost your GPA (courses that are in the a-g subject areas and are UC-transferable will carry an extra grade point and be included in your UC GPA calculation).
