We Move Seniors
Is it a good idea to move to another state late in the school year being a senior?

My bestfriend is suppose to be moving to texas this friday. She is a senior an we only have like 3 1/2 more months untill we graduate.. Were tryna figure out if it would be a bad move or not because you got to think about your credits an spending an extra month in school in texas. We just really need some answers about this.

A cousin fo mine moved to another state at the beginning of her senior year, and she wrote to me that the requirements (number of major subjects, mainly) were a little higher there, so that some kids in her situation were having to take another year, although she was lucky enough not to. Your friend may encounter the same situation, but it’s possible, too, that the state she’s moving from is the one with higher requirements. I’d be even more concerned about moving in the middle of any school year, especially in senior high. What if the high school in her new town doesn’t even offer all the classes she’s now taking? Even if it does, she’s likely to be a week or two behind or ahead of the rest of any class, and in some subjects, like English, the curriculum may be very different. If there’s any way she can stay behind, finish out the school year, and graduate with her own class, I think that would be a good idea. Does she have relatives in your town with whom she could live until the end of the school year?
