Linden House Assisted Living Home for senior’s with Alzheimer’s in Rochester, New York is a private, licensed home providing care to senior’s who are no longer able to live at home alone.
Linden House is a small and charming community offering excellent personalized care in a safe and secure environment. We have 25 years of care giving experience and pride ourselves on the attention to detail we are able to provide.
We care for a very small number of resident’s. Many have early to mid stage Alzheimer’s disease and others are in need of assistance for various limitations. Alzheimer’s disease is categorized by 3 stages: The time to consider when your loved one may be in need of a assisted living environment is a personal choice based on what issues are manifesting at any given time.
During the early phases of Alzheimer’s your loved one may seem to be doing fine managing things at home, but often times can be struggling with memory issues. Beginning signs that may become noticeable may be:
Remembering small details of daily life and some new information.
Difficulty remembering to take medications, eating meals, or if they ate a meal!
Perhaps getting lost driving or walking to familiar destinations.
Feeling sad and depressed, short term memory lapse.
Moderate Alzheimer’s disease may include some or all of the above and also some of these symptoms:
Forgetting facts
Continually repeats stories and/or asks the same questions over and over
Paranoia, delusions, blaming others for lost items
Difficulty performing tasks
Following written notes
Agitation, behavioral symptoms common
Restlessness, repetitive movements
Wandering
Paranoia, delusions, hallucinations
Deficits in intellect and reasoning
Linden House provides families with the security of knowing that your loved one is safe and cared for in a home type environment that provides the resident with continued independence with the activities they loved at home. Helping with meals, gardening, taking walks, and hobbies are encouraged to the best of ability!
We are located in the historic Ellwanger~Barry neighborhood, minutes from Highland Hospital, University of Rochester, and Highland Park! Our services include but are not limited to:
Onsite owner/operator with experienced relief care, 3 nutritious meals and snacks, medication management and/or reminders, Transportation to appointments, On call physician! Assistance with daily living tasks, outings and hobbies.
Our monthly fees are based on care needs and usually prove to much more affordable than the larger communities for Alzheimer’s care.
